FAQ
Hydraulic fittings FAQ
Clear answers for engineers and procurement.
What's the difference between BSPP, BSPT, JIC and NPT fittings?
BSPP is a parallel thread and BSPT is tapered — both common in Australia; JIC uses a 37° flare common in hydraulics; NPT is a tapered US thread. Emyte supplies all of these plus BSP, ORFS and metric (DIN 2353) — and the adaptors to convert between them.
